Velo Six II features an inner rim width of 21mm, which effectively improves rolling resistance when compatible with wider tires. This not only enhances comfort on less-than-ideal road surfaces but also increases grip on wet roads.
To further enhance performance, the rim's cross-sectional profile has been newly designed, significantly boosting lateral stiffness. Advanced carbon fiber layering technology improves rigidity without adding weight, even with the increased cross-section. Additionally, the complex surface curvature and refined profile design also significantly contribute to overall stiffness. The Velo Six II now boasts enhanced impact resistance, making it not only faster but also more robust and durable than ever before.
The hub utilizes a 50T ratchet system with a 7.2° engagement angle for quicker response. Unlike traditional flat ratchets, the specially angled tooth surfaces allow for automatic alignment, increasing the engagement area and improving stability and reliability.
The new generation sees a 30% increase in stiffness while being 30g lighter.
S&S ceramic bearings with a 50T Ratchet 7.2° provide quick engagement and zero-delay power transmission.
Lateral stiffness has improved by 95% on the drive side and 98% on the non-drive side compared to the previous generation.
