The evolution of digital 3D printing technology has enabled Fizik to develop a new type of saddle unconstrained by traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding utilizes Carbon's revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. Digital Light Synthesis is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with exceptional mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

Customized zonal cushioning

Using Carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have unprecedented possibilities: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, each individually tuned for specific mechanical properties. Each key functional zone is meticulously engineered with unique cushioning and mechanical responses, seamlessly and gradually connected within the same padding.

Lab-tested and road-proven

Tested by professional cyclists and amateur riders in the Fizik labs and on the road. Each iteration was carefully tested at every stage of development. Fizik paid particular attention to the impact of different bike geometries, riding postures, and riding styles on pressure distribution.

From concept to scalable production

With this unique combination of process and materials, Fizik was able to develop products five times faster, creating and field-testing hundreds of versions. This technology is applicable to mass production, completely revolutionizing traditional manufacturing processes by accelerating and skipping all intermediate stages.

Lasting performance

This saddle is extremely easy to clean. Even with the dirtiest mud, just rinse it with water. Whatever gets in, drains out. We've put it through the most rigorous tests, simulating accelerated aging, UV aging, and abrasion resistance, following strict testing protocols.
